Building the car
The child must build the car with the help of an adult. This is a joint effort between child and adult, but the child must do a lot of the work. There will be 1 Car Construction clinic scheduled to help you with the construction of the car. You can click on Car Construction to find out about an upcoming clinic. There will be a stock and super stock car at each clinic for demonstration purposes. Please feel free to bring your car to any of the Car Construction Clinics.

Initial inspection

There will be a pre-inspection,  May 21, 2011, 9:00a.m. - 1:00p.m. at Jerry Stander's Collision Works - 3900 Norwood Drive Littleton, CO 80125.  The pre-inspection is mandatory for all drivers to attend.  If you have questions, please call Jerry 303-791-1900 or Ann Cahill 303-726-9849 or Christi Colvin 303-947-9779.  At the pre-inspection, you will be notified of any changes that must be made.  Photos will be taken of each driver for the race program.  You will receive your car number.  This number will correspond with your initial postion or the heat chart.

Final Inspection and Trial Runs
There will be a final inspection of the cars June 4, 2011 starting at 10:00 am. The drivers will have an opportunity to go down the race track to get a feel for the track. It is mandatory that all drivers make at least one pass down the race track. The cars will then be impounded so no further changes can be made.

Race Day - June 5, 2011

The race will be held on June 5, 2011.  The race will go from 8:00 am until finished. We will be running a double elimination race. A heat consists of two racers going down twice in two phases. They will swap lanes for the second phase. The winner of each heat will move on. You must lose twice to be eliminated. The winning cars and drivers will go to Akron, Ohio with a stipend to participate in the All-American Soap Box Derby.
